After serving for nine years in the REME as an armourer, this Hereford-born veteran faced an incredibly tough period alongside their partner. Like many people across the UK, rising financial pressures took their toll, resulting in the loss of both their home and a small business.

For several months, they were forced to sofa surf and even live out of their car.

Refusing to give up, they reached out to the Veterans Support Centre in Hereford. Through their support, and thanks to a property becoming available via The Buchanan Trust, everything began to change.

In less than four weeks, the process was completed, and they were able to move into a new home just in time for Christmas.

A safe, stable place to live. A chance to reset. A reminder that with the right support networks, lives really can be turned around.
